Sabrina Paul, MA
Resident in Counseling

Sabrina holds a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and recently completed a Masters Degree in Human Services Counseling:  Crisis Response and Trauma.  She is currently a Resident in Counseling, pursuing licensure in Virginia.
Sabrina enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, from very young children to older adults, as well as couples and families.  She has a very special place in her heart for children involved in the foster care system, as well as the foster parents and caregivers that invest so much in helping these children thrive despite their circumstances.  Also, she finds working with individuals who have experienced trauma to be particularly rewarding, and intends to continue working toward specialization in this area.
Sabrina believes everyone has the capacity to take charge of their personal journey and transform their perspective, creating positive change.   The individual must just be willing to take the first risky step in seeking this change, which for many means trusting a therapist to guide this new perspective. My goal is to walk the proverbial mile in the client's shoes by providing empathetic listening without judgment  This creates a positive environment in which the client can take the journey toward healing.   I am honored to partner with people on this journey through growth and change.
Sabrina practices from an eclectic perspective.  She believes that, since every individual is unique, the therapeutic interventions used  in therapy should be catered specifically to the needs of the client.  Person-centered therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy with children are some of the theories that she prefers to use with her clients.   She is open to using spirituality within the therapy process if the client so desires.
